ICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Assignment in Bay City, Texas

This 13-week travel RN opportunity is for an ICU Registered Nurse in Bay City, Texas.

Job Details

• Position: ICU Registered Nurse (Travel RN)
• Location: Bay City, Texas
• Type: Travel, on-site healthcare job
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: September 6, 2026
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020-$2,130
• Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
• Shifts Per Week: 3 shifts per week
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Schedule: Rotating 36/48 pattern; every other weekend and every other holiday
• Charting System: Meditech
• Care Setting: Acute care ICU

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• 2-3 years of ICU nursing experience preferred
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC required
• PALS must be in hand at time of submission
• Strong ventilator management skills required, or willingness to learn quickly
• Comfortable managing critically ill patients and multiple drips
• NIHSS preferred
• Experience with Meditech preferred
• Ability to work rotating shifts with limited time-off requests

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in a 6-bed ICU
• Monitor, assess, and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• Manage cardiac drips, sedation medications, antiarrhythmics, insulin, and other ICU therapies
• Care for patients with sepsis, respiratory failure, GI bleeds, DKA, atrial fibrillation with RVR, and severe anemia
• Support ventilated patients and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to deliver safe, timely interventions
• Communicate effectively with hospitalists, intensivists, and respiratory therapy staff
• Float to Med-Surg or the ER based on experience and unit needs
• Maintain accurate documentation and complete required onboarding modules before start
