Job Requirements

• Active RN license
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• BSN required
• Strong clinical judgment and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced inpatient care environment
• Experience with chest tubes, pain management, TPN, CBI, and wound care preferred
• Charge nurse experience is a plus
• Comfortable floating to PCU for Med/Surg overflow or low-acuity PCU patients

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to Med/Surg patients with varying acuity levels
• Assess patients, monitor changes in condition, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support positive outcomes
• Care for patients with diagnoses such as dementia, post-surgical recovery, falls, influenza, pneumonia, failure to thrive, cancer, and COVID
• Administer treatments and perform nursing interventions within the RN scope of practice
• Document patient care accurately in EPIC and maintain strong communication with the healthcare team
• Support charge nurse duties if appropriately experienced
• Float as needed to support Med/Surg overflow and appropriate PCU patients
• Contribute to a collaborative, patient-centered environment that values flexibility, teamwork, and quality care
