Travel Nursing Job Details

• Position: Travel Cath Lab Registered Nurse
• Location: Parkersburg, West Virginia
• Setting: Acute care cardiac catheterization lab
• Employment Type: Travel nursing assignment
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 9/7/2026
• Shift: 8-hour day shifts, currently 5x8s and transitioning to 4x10s
• Call Requirement: Call coverage at least every 3rd night and every 3rd weekend, with a 30-minute response time
• Weekly Hours: 40 hours per week guaranteed
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,700-$2,840
• Orientation: 1-2 days
• Charting System: EPIC
• Openings: 2 positions available

Cath Lab RN Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 1 year of Cath Lab experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA
• Prior travel nurse experience highly preferred
• Ability to work a day-shift schedule with regular call coverage
• Comfort working in a fast-paced interventional cardiology environment
• EP coverage experience is an expectation

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide circulating support for cath lab procedures and patient care needs
• Sedate patients as appropriate; scrubbing is not required
• Prepare patients for procedures, including IV placement when needed
• Assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
• Document patient care and procedure details in EPIC before and after cases
• Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and the healthcare team to ensure safe, efficient workflow
• Respond to call coverage assignments and support after-hours cardiac care needs
• Assist with procedures including PCI, TEEs, balloon pumps, pacers, event recorders, and defibrillators
