- Schedule: 12-hour rotating day/night shifts
- Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Every other weekend and every other holiday
- Shift Duration: 12 hours
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,160-$2,270
- Charting System: EPIC
- Unit Equipment: Omnicell, Alaris IV pumps
- Location: Fargo, ND
- Floating: May float to med/surg units across multiple Fargo locations as needed
Job Requirements
- Active RN license in North Dakota or a Compact state, or willingness to obtain
- Minimum 2 years of recent med/surg nursing experience required
- Experience in a large hospital setting with 250+ beds required
- BLS certification from AHA required
- NIHSS certification required or willingness to obtain prior to start
- EPIC experience required
- Cardiac and telemetry experience highly preferred
- Ability to float to other med/surg units as needed
- Strong assessment, documentation, and medication administration skills
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to med/surg telemetry patients
- Perform thorough patient assessments and ongoing monitoring
- Administer medications and complete nursing tasks accurately and efficiently
- Document care, patient status, and clinical updates in EPIC
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and the care team to support positive patient outcomes
- Adapt to rotating schedules and support unit needs with professionalism
- Float to additional med/surg units within the Fargo area as required
- Maintain a patient-focused approach in a fast-paced acute care environment
