Job Details
- Location: Fargo, ND 58102
- Setting: Acute care, Medical-Surgical unit
- Job Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) assignment
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
- Schedule: Day/night rotation, every other weekend, and holiday rotation
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,160 - $2,270
- Start Date: 09/28/2026
- Orientation: 1 day of lead center training plus 2 unit-based shifts with a preceptor
- Unit Size: 47 beds
- Patient Ratios: 5:1 on days and 6:1 on nights
- Floating: May float to other Med/Surg units across campuses
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience
- Experience in a large hospital setting preferred (200+ beds)
- Experience in a Level II trauma center or higher preferred
- Travel nursing experience required unless extensive experience in a large Level I setting
- Active North Dakota RN license or compact RN license
- Current BLS certification through AHA
- Epic experience required
- Surgical oncology experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to provide interview availability with submission
- Must be able to badge in and out at the facility
- Navy blue scrubs required
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate, and high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg and surgical oncology patients
- Collaborate with physicians and the inter-professional healthcare team to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Deliver care within the full scope of RN practice using age- and population-specific standards
- Monitor patient conditions, respond to changes, and support timely clinical interventions
- Document accurately in Epic and use clinical tools such as AccuDose, bladder scanners, Phillips monitors, and telemetry
- Support unit workflow and maintain strong communication across the acute care team
- Adapt to floating assignments as needed within Medical-Surgical service lines
- Maintain professionalism, reliability, and a patient-centered approach throughout the travel assignment
