Overview
This travel Registered Nurse opportunity is ideal for a Cardiac Telemetry RN who thrives in a dynamic inpatient environment. You’ll work 12-hour night shifts, three shifts per week, with opportunities to assist with med-surg overflow as needed. The unit values strong clinical judgment, flexibility, and confidence managing a variety of cardiac and stepdown-level patient needs.

- Patient Ratio: Days 1:4, Nights 1:5
- Floating: Required to med-surg units as needed
- Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Colorado or a compact RN license
- Minimum of 2 years of recent telemetry or cardiac nursing experience
- AHA BLS and ACLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Experience caring for cardiac/tele patients and med-surg overflow
- Comfort managing cardiac drips, dysrhythmias, post-cardiac procedures, and telemetry monitoring
- Epic charting experience preferred/required
- Strong adaptability for flexible staffing ratios and floating within scope
- Weekend coverage as needed per unit requirements
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to cardiac telemetry patients and support med-surg overflow when needed
- Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications and manage therapies including cardiac drips, insulin protocols, and heparin protocols per scope
- Care for patients recovering from CABG, cath lab procedures, TAVR, post-MI events, and other cardiac conditions
- Perform thorough assessments, documentation, and care coordination using Epic
- Collaborate with respiratory therapy, pharmacy, phlebotomy, rapid response, and other support teams
- Maintain safe patient ratios while delivering attentive, compassionate care
- Float to similar units within scope to meet facility needs
