- Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- Shift Duration: 8-hour nights
- Hours: 36 guaranteed hours per week; up to 40 hours per week
- Weekend Requirement: Minimum of 4 weekend hours per month
- Call: None
- Patient Ratio: 5:1
- Unit Size: 15 beds
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,950 - $2,050
Job Requirements
- Active RN license
- Minimum of 2 years of medical-surgical nursing or surgical patient care experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips preferred
- Experience caring for adult and geriatric patient populations
- Strong team player with a positive attitude and adaptability in a resource-conscious setting
- Willingness to float or assist in other nursing units when needed
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to med/surg telemetry patients
- Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes in condition
- Support surgical patients and collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Interpret telemetry strips and communicate important findings to the care team
- Maintain accurate documentation using the electronic health record (EHR) system
- Promote a positive, team-based environment focused on quality patient outcomes
- Float or assist in other hospital units occasionally, as needed
