Overview

The Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care throughout the antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of obstetrical care. In this travel RN role, you will use critical thinking, strong clinical judgment, and leadership skills to help ensure safe, compassionate, and effective patient care in a fast-paced maternal health setting.

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights

• Schedule: Nights with alternating weekends

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 1 year of Labor & Delivery or obstetrical nursing experience
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NRP certification required
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to work night shifts and alternating weekends
• Must meet all submission requirements for consideration

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and neonatal patients
• Monitor patient status and respond appropriately to changes in condition
• Use the nursing process in alignment with state practice standards and facility policies
• Demonstrate sound clinical judgment in planning and delivering safe patient care
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing learning and continuing education
• Delegate and prioritize care based on staff skill level and patient needs
• Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel as needed
