• Shift: 12-hour day shifts
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,680 - $1,770
• Unit Setting: Medical/Surgical - Telemetry
• Bed Count: 27 beds
• Weekend Rotation: 3 weekend shifts per month
• Call Requirements: None
• Charting System: Meditech
• Additional Highlights: Open to block scheduling, orientation to unit policies and procedures provided, and opportunities for resourcing, precepting, and working with students

Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license in good standing
• At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing or Telemetry nursing experience required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required
• Advanced Life Support (ALS) or equivalent advanced cardiac support competency preferred
• NIH Stroke Scale competency or certification required/preferred based on facility needs
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Strong communication, teamwork, and time-management skills

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Monitor patient conditions, perform assessments, and respond to changes in status
• Administer medications and treatments according to established standards
• Collaborate with physicians, CNAs, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Support general surgical patient care and common unit procedures as needed
• Assist with and coordinate care related to echo, EKG, colonoscopy, TEE, EEG, and wound vac management
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record
• Participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds to help coordinate patient care
• Contribute to a positive team environment and support a culture of learning and excellence
