Overview

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse with strong neuro/spine and trauma surgery experience for a 13-week travel nursing assignment. This role is ideal for a confident OR RN who enjoys fast-paced perioperative nursing, works well in a team setting, and is ready to step into a highly skilled operating room environment.

• Schedule: 3 x 12-hour day shifts, 06:30 AM - 07:00 PM
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,110 - $2,220
• Orientation: 40 hours
• Call / Late Days: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday block with call and late days as required

Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at the time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of operating room experience in the service line
• Craniotomy and burr hole experience required
• Experience with neuro/spine, ortho/trauma, and general/robotics/trauma cases strongly preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Allscripts experience preferred
• Certifications preferred or required for the assignment include ACLS, BLS, CNOR, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC
• Comfort working with adult, pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric patient populations
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Ability to complete required lab items promptly after offer acceptance

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care in the operating room for complex surgical cases
• Support neuro/spine, orthopedic trauma, and general/robotic procedures
• Circulate and assist with specialized surgical cases, including craniotomy and burr hole procedures
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and the perioperative team to ensure smooth case flow
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and support efficient operating room workflow
• Adapt to a busy surgical environment while maintaining excellent patient advocacy and safety standards
• Participate in call coverage and late shifts as scheduled
• Contribute to a supportive team culture focused on high standards of care
