• Position: Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Tele
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Shifts per Week: 3
• Hours per Week: 36
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,910 - $2,010
• Setting: 25-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Patient Ratio: Approximately 4-5 patients per nurse
• Location: Leawood, KS 66209 — a well-connected suburban area with convenient access to shopping, dining, and the broader Kansas City region

Job Requirements

• Active RN license
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing or Telemetry nursing experience required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Basic Dysrhythmia competency required
• Strong teamwork, professionalism, and a positive attitude
• Ability to work scheduled night shifts and every third weekend, at minimum
• Comfort floating to like units as needed
• Experience with Meditech documentation system preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care for med-surg and telemetry patients with a focus on safety, quality, and patient satisfaction
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, assess patient status, and communicate changes promptly
• Administer medications, perform assessments, and complete documentation accurately and on time
• Support patients with a variety of diagnoses including renal, urology, oncology, pulmonology, cardiology, and general medical-surgical conditions
• Collaborate with charge nurses, patient care techs, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure efficient patient care
• Maintain compliance with infection prevention practices and unit protocols
• Use available equipment and technology effectively, including telemetry resources, pumps, and lift equipment
• Deliver compassionate care while promoting a respectful, team-oriented environment
