• Position: PCU Registered Nurse
• Healthcare Setting: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Step-Down Unit
• Location: Lenexa, Kansas area
• Travel Nursing Assignment: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 12/14/2026
• Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed hours
• Schedule: Self-scheduling with 3 weekend shifts every 4 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 - $2,010
• On-Call: None
• Unit Size: 18 beds

Job Requirements

• Active RN license
• Minimum 1 year of recent PCU, telemetry, or step-down nursing experience preferred
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification or competency
• Experience caring for cardiac and pulmonary patients in a monitored setting
• Ability to work night shifts and participate in self-scheduling

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled bedside nursing care to patients with moderate physiologic instability
• Monitor and manage patients with COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, CHF, and tracheostomy needs
• Perform cardiac monitoring and respiratory monitoring every 2-4 hours as indicated
• Complete vital signs, blood glucose checks, and neurological assessments on schedule
• Administer oxygen therapy, including nasal cannula, BiPAP/CPAP, and high-flow or low-flow support as appropriate
• Collaborate with a supportive multidisciplinary care team to deliver safe, compassionate, patient-centered care
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold unit standards, protocols, and best practices
