• Position: Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Location: Albany, NY 12208
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 - $2,250
• Setting: Progressive Critical Care / Step-Down / PCU
• Start Date: 10/12/2026

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of recent progressive care, telemetry, step-down, or acute care nursing experience required
• Epic experience required
• ACLS certification required
• Strong knowledge of advanced hemodynamics and pressor titration protocols
• Experience caring for complex adult medical and surgical patients
• Ability to successfully complete a competency assessment promptly after submission
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-acuity healthcare environment

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care for high-acuity patients with respiratory failure, sepsis, trauma, endocrine disorders, and surgical complications
• Monitor and manage advanced hemodynamic needs, including pressor therapy per protocol
• Administer and titrate therapies such as antihypertensive drips, sedative drips, and narcan drips as ordered
• Care for patients requiring support such as HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP, arterial lines, CVP monitoring, and EVD management
• Deliver safe, compassionate patient care while maintaining infection prevention and patient safety standards
• Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary care team to support positive outcomes for medically delicate and surgically complex patients
• Maintain accurate documentation and adapt quickly to evolving patient needs in a high-acuity unit
