• Setting: Level I Trauma, Teaching Hospital
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,130 - $2,250
• Shift Duration: 12-hour days
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours
• Orientation: 16 hours
• Call Requirements: 2 night calls and 3 weekend calls per month
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
• Room Count: 9 operating rooms

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of assignment at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• BLS certification required
• CNOR and CST certifications preferred/required for submission
• Experience with a majority of the following surgical specialties: orthopedic, neuro/spine, general, robotic, urologic, gynecologic, trauma, ENT, ophthalmic, and joint cases
• Experience in a high-acuity surgical environment
• Ability to adapt quickly and work collaboratively within a fast-paced perioperative team

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, efficient, and high-quality perioperative nursing care in the operating room
• Support a wide range of surgical procedures across multiple specialties
• Assist with patient preparation, intraoperative monitoring, and coordinated surgical workflow
• Maintain strong communication with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the perioperative care team
• Contribute to patient safety, infection prevention, and operating room best practices
• Respond to on-call needs as scheduled, including night and weekend coverage
• Adapt to changing clinical needs in a busy trauma and teaching hospital environment
