Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; compact license must be in hand at submission if applicable
- At least 1 year of recent progressive care, step-down, telemetry, med-surg, or acute care nursing experience required
- 2 years of nursing experience preferred
- Previous charge nurse experience required
- Experience with patient ratios of 1:4-6
- Epic charting experience required
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Strong U.S. clinical experience required
- Ability to work in a float RN role and adapt to changing patient needs
- Comfortable caring for telemetry, med-surg, ED boarded, and step-down level patients
- Must be able to commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality bedside care to adult and geriatric patients across multiple inpatient units
- Monitor telemetry, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Deliver progressive care and step-down nursing support based on unit acuity and patient needs
- Perform charge nurse duties on smaller units when assigned, including staffing coordination, bed flow, and team support
- Float between hospital units as needed to support patient care and clinical coverage
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, IV teams, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response resources
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic electronic health records
- Follow isolation precautions, safe patient handling practices, and unit protocols
- Support patient-centered care in a fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare environment
