• Position: PACU Registered Nurse (Post Anesthesia Care Unit RN)
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Job
• Location: Bel Air, Maryland area
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,850 - $1,950
• Start Date: September 28, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour schedule (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Orientation: 40 hours
• Scheduling: Self-scheduling with weekend coverage required; holidays as scheduled
• Patient Population: Adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Setting: Busy PACU / recovery room environment

Job Requirements

• Active Maryland RN license or compact RN license at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of PACU nursing experience or relevant critical care experience
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required by AHA
• Strong ICU or critical care background welcomed for first-time travelers
• Experience with Epic preferred
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
• Comfortable floating within specialty scope as needed
• Must be able to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced post-anesthesia recovery setting

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients during Phase I and Phase II recovery in the PACU
• Perform pre-op, post-op, and discharge education as needed
• Manage airway support, pain control, and hemodynamic stability
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and emergency interventions per protocol
• Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition promptly
• Collaborate closely with surgical, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary support teams
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the charting system
• Support safe, efficient patient flow through the Post Anesthesia Care Unit
