• Shift: 12-hour nights, 4x12 schedule
• Schedule Options: 36 or 48 hours per week
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,700-$1,790
• Patient Ratio: 1:4-5
• Charting System: Epic
• Start Date: 10/12/2026
• Orientation: Brief unit orientation provided

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of recent PCU, stepdown, telemetry, or cardiac nursing experience required; 2 years preferred
• Cardiovascular experience required in an acute care or progressive care setting
• Active RN license in New Mexico or compact state eligibility; pending license accepted if obtained before start
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Experience with Epic electronic health record preferred
• Ability to manage a cardiac telemetry population and work in a collaborative, team-based environment
• Comfort with floating to like units within scope as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care for adult and geriatric patients with cardiovascular and stepdown needs
• Monitor telemetry, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer and manage cardiac drips, IV therapies, and related protocols within scope
• Support patients recovering from cardiac events and procedures, including CHF, STEMI/NSTEMI, and post-cardiac interventions
• Perform ongoing assessments, document care accurately in Epic, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Maintain a safe, organized, and compassionate care environment for a busy Progressive Care Unit patient population
• Participate in floating assignments to similar units when needed to support facility needs
