- Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00)
- Weekly Hours: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,950 - $2,060
- Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
- Float: May float to other ICU floors
- Charting System: Epic experience strongly preferred
- Holiday Expectation: May be required to work major holidays and surrounding days
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU or Surgical ICU nursing experience
- Active Registered Nurse license with no licensing issues
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- Epic charting experience required or heavily preferred
- Experience caring for high-acuity adult and geriatric patients in a critical care setting
- Comfort with a 2:1 patient ratio in days, nights, and weekends
- Ability to work in a tobacco-free, fragrance-free environment
- Willingness to complete pre-start compliance requirements
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to complex Surgical ICU patients
- Monitor and manage patients with vascular, abdominal, oncologic, and trauma-related conditions
- Support care needs for ventilated patients, vasoactive drips, CRRT, and wound vac therapy
- Perform arterial line management, central line care, and blood product administration
- Assist with chest tube insertion and removal, suctioning, and ABG interpretation
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic electronic health record
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response resources
- Adapt quickly to floating within ICU settings as needed
- Deliver safe, compassionate, high-quality care in a fast-paced critical care environment
