This travel OR RN position is ideal for a skilled perioperative nurse who enjoys variety, teamwork, and rotating shifts. You will support trauma, elective, and urgent surgical cases in a highly skilled operating room department with a strong emphasis on safety, efficiency, and excellent patient care.

- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,470 - $2,600
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
- Schedule: Rotating days, evenings, and nights; typically 3 shifts per week
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekend Coverage: Required
- On-Call: Required
- Start Date: 09/21/2026
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license or ability to obtain Connecticut licensure before start
- At least 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience required
- Experience in a Level I Trauma Center strongly preferred
- ACLS and BLS certification required
- Epic charting experience required
- Must be comfortable circulating in the OR; scrub experience is highly preferred
- Experience with trauma, craniotomy, vascular, and endovascular cases required
- Robotics and orthopedic experience are a strong plus
- Travel nursing experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care in a busy operating room setting
- Circulate a wide variety of surgical cases, including trauma, neuro, vascular, endovascular, thoracic, general, ENT, plastics, urology, gynecology, and transplant procedures
- Support urgent, elective, and complex adult surgical cases with occasional pediatric patients
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the surgical team to ensure smooth case flow
- Assist with on-call coverage, weekend assignments, and rotating shift needs
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow facility protocols and safety standards
- Contribute to a strong team environment that prioritizes excellent patient outcomes
