• Shift: 12-hour rotating day/night shifts
• Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday rotation
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,200-$2,320
• Start Date: 10/12/2026
• Charting System: EPIC
• Unit Size: 47-bed department
• Patient Ratio: 5:1 days, 6:1 nights
• Orientation: 1 day lead center training plus 2 unit shifts with a preceptor
• Floating: May float to other medical-surgical units across the campus

Job Requirements

• Active North Dakota RN license or compact nursing license
• BLS certification through AHA required
• Minimum of 2 years of recent medical-surgical nursing experience
• Experience in a large hospital setting preferred
• Experience in a Level II or higher trauma center preferred
• Travel nursing experience required unless supported by multiple years in a large Level I setting
• EPIC experience required
• Surgical oncology experience preferred
• Must be comfortable working rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care for medical-surgical and surgical oncology patients
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other interdisciplinary care team members to plan and evaluate patient care
• Use clinical judgment to assess, monitor, and respond to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards and unit protocols
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using the EPIC charting system
• Utilize unit equipment such as AccuDose, bladder scanners, Phillips monitors, and telemetry systems
• Deliver care in alignment with age-specific and population-specific standards
• Badge in and out according to facility process and maintain professionalism on every shift
