- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,200-$2,320
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
- Shifts Per Week: 3
- Schedule: Day/night rotation with every other weekend and holiday
- Charting System: EPIC
- Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 5:1 on days, 6:1 on nights
- Floating: May float to other Med/Surg units within Fargo as needed
Job Requirements
- Active North Dakota RN license or compact state RN license
- BLS certification from AHA required
- Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience required
- At least 2 years of recent nursing experience in a large hospital setting preferred
- Experience in a busy, high-acuity acute care environment
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Level 1 trauma experience required
- EPIC experience required
- Ability to float to all Med/Surg units across multiple campuses in Fargo
- Strong communication, adaptability, and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients
- Care for patients with a wide range of medical and surgical needs, including behavioral admits
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Deliver care using age- and population-specific standards within your RN scope of practice
- Monitor patient status, document accurately in EPIC, and respond to changing clinical conditions
- Support patient mobility and safety using available unit equipment and best practices
- Adapt to rotating day/night schedules and help balance staffing needs across the unit
- Float to other Med/Surg units within the Fargo healthcare system when needed
