Join a fast-paced pediatric transport team in Portland, Oregon 97227. This 13-week travel NICU RN opportunity is ideal for a skilled critical care nurse who thrives in high-acuity environments and is passionate about delivering neonatal and pediatric care during interfacility transport.
Travel Nursing Job Details
- Employment Type: Travel RN
- Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts
- Shift Duration: 12 hours
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,190 - $2,310
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: October 13, 2026
- Patient Population: Neonates, infants, pediatrics, and adolescents
- Charting System: Epic
- Orientation: 8 hours
- Schedule Notes: Self-scheduled; weekend coverage includes at least every third weekend with occasional additional coverage as needed
NICU Nurse Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of recent NICU, pediatric transport, or critical care nursing experience
- Recent flight and/or mobile transfer experience required
- Active Oregon RN license and Washington RN license or Compact RN license prior to start
- BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
- Epic experience required
- Strong comfort level working with an RN/RT transport team and EMS partners
- Ability to care for high-acuity neonatal and pediatric patients during ground and air transport
Responsibilities
- Provide critical care nursing support for neonates and pediatric patients during interfacility transport
- Collaborate closely with respiratory therapy, physicians, and EMS partners to stabilize and transfer patients safely
- Assist with advanced interventions such as intubation support, IV placement, UAC/UVC management, and resuscitation care
- Monitor and manage patients using transport ventilators, infusion pumps, and other specialized equipment
- Deliver responsive, compassionate care while adapting to changing transport environments
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow all transport protocols and safety standards
