Job Requirements

• Current Montana Registered Nurse license
• Minimum of 1 year of emergency nursing, ER nursing, or critical care experience
• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification
• American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS certification
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• American Heart Association PALS or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification
• Ability to practice modified primary nursing
• Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical decision-making skills
• Comfort working in a busy, high-acuity, and emotionally demanding emergency department environment

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients across a range of acuity levels
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and identify priority needs quickly and accurately
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Monitor patient progress, evaluate outcomes, and adjust interventions as needed
• Support stroke care protocols and maintain required stroke competency education
• Complete annual trauma-related education and follow all applicable clinical guidelines
• Promote safety, professionalism, and effective communication with patients, families, and colleagues
• Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate sound judgment in a fast-paced clinical setting
