Job Requirements
- Current Montana Registered Nurse license
- Minimum of 1 year of emergency nursing, ER nursing, or critical care experience
- American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification
- American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS certification
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- American Heart Association PALS or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification
- Ability to practice modified primary nursing
- Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical decision-making skills
- Comfort working in a busy, high-acuity, and emotionally demanding emergency department environment
Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients across a range of acuity levels
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and identify priority needs quickly and accurately
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Monitor patient progress, evaluate outcomes, and adjust interventions as needed
- Support stroke care protocols and maintain required stroke competency education
- Complete annual trauma-related education and follow all applicable clinical guidelines
- Promote safety, professionalism, and effective communication with patients, families, and colleagues
- Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate sound judgment in a fast-paced clinical setting
