The unit manages cardiac, diabetes, CHF, COPD, renal, general surgery, and orthopedic cases, making this a great fit for nurses who enjoy fast-paced acute care and telemetry nursing.

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,750 - $1,840
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Shifts Per Week: 3
• Schedule: Nights, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Weekend/Holiday Coverage: Required
• Float Requirement: As needed to similar acuity or lower
• Patient Ratio: 1:6
• Charting System: Meditech preferred

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg Telemetry or related acute care RN experience
• Active Registered Nurse license
• ACLS and BLS required
• CPI required
• Experience with insulin drips, heparin protocols, and Lasix drips
• Ability to care for adult medical-surgical telemetry patients with diverse diagnoses
• Strong communication, adaptability, and teamwork skills
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
• Travel nursing experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and high-quality nursing care to adult Med/Surg Tele patients
• Monitor telemetry patients and respond appropriately to changes in condition
• Administer and titrate medications, including insulin, heparin, and Lasix drips per protocol
• Care for patients with cardiac, diabetes, CHF, COPD, renal, surgical, and orthopedic needs
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with RN, LPN, PCT, CNA, and unit secretary team members to support patient care
• Maintain flexibility to float to similar acuity areas when needed
• Deliver patient-centered care in a fast-paced acute care hospital environment
