Job Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
  • Strong critical thinking and EKG interpretation skills
  • Experience titrating cardiac medications preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented healthcare environment
  • Comfort working night shifts in a high-acuity hospital setting

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct, compassionate care to PCU patients with varying acuity levels
  • Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret EKGs, and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
  • Titrate cardiac medications as ordered and support safe, effective patient management
  • Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to deliver quality patient outcomes
  • Assist with occasional procedures such as paracentesis or thoracentesis
  • Float as needed to ICU or Med-Surg based on facility needs
  • Maintain accurate documentation and uphold unit standards, patient safety, and quality care practices
