- Schedule: 36 hours per week; 12-hour night shifts (typically 3x12)
- Shift Hours: 3:00 PM - 3:00 AM
- Weekend / Holiday Requirements: Every other weekend and holiday
- On-Call: 1 eight-hour call shift per 4-week schedule
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,680 - $1,770
- EMR: Epic experience required
- Location: Winchester, Virginia - a historic Shenandoah Valley community with easy access to outdoor recreation, cultural attractions, and regional travel
Job Requirements
- Active RN license in Virginia or a compact state
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
- Epic EMR experience required
- Current ACLS certification
- Current BLS certification from AHA
- Current PALS certification
- Current NIHSS certification
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work effectively in a high-acuity Emergency Department environment
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to Emergency Department patients across a wide range of acuity levels
- Perform rapid assessments, triage, and ongoing patient monitoring in a fast-paced ER setting
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and provider orders
- Collaborate closely with physicians, providers, and the interdisciplinary care team to support timely patient care
- Document accurately and efficiently in Epic electronic medical records
- Respond confidently to changing patient conditions and emergency situations
- Maintain professional communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care throughout every shift
