Travel to Anderson, South Carolina (29621), a welcoming Upstate community, for a 13-week Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse opportunity supporting adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced hospital setting. - Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Float Requirement: Required to float to other Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units as needed
- Charting System: Epic
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,750 - $1,840
Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
- Active RN license or pending license eligible before start
- BLS certification required
- Experience with Epic charting required
- Strong clinical skills in telemetry, IV therapy, wound care, and post-surgical care
- Ability to care for adult and geriatric patients in a dynamic hospital setting
- License verification through Nursys or an equivalent source required
- Flexibility to support a resource pool and float when needed
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, compassionate bedside nursing care to medical-surgical patients
- Assess patient conditions, monitor for changes, and escalate concerns appropriately
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and blood products according to protocol
- Manage common Med/Surg needs such as drains, chest tubes, tracheostomy care, wound care, and telemetry monitoring
- Support recovery for post-operative and thoracic surgery patients
- Document care accurately and thoroughly in Epic
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, phlebotomy, radiology, and rapid response services
- Float to other Med/Surg and Telemetry units to help meet patient care needs
