• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Float Requirement: Required to float to other Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units as needed
• Charting System: Epic
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,750 - $1,840

Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
• Active RN license or pending license eligible before start
• BLS certification required
• Experience with Epic charting required
• Strong clinical skills in telemetry, IV therapy, wound care, and post-surgical care
• Ability to care for adult and geriatric patients in a dynamic hospital setting
• License verification through Nursys or an equivalent source required
• Flexibility to support a resource pool and float when needed

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate bedside nursing care to medical-surgical patients
• Assess patient conditions, monitor for changes, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and blood products according to protocol
• Manage common Med/Surg needs such as drains, chest tubes, tracheostomy care, wound care, and telemetry monitoring
• Support recovery for post-operative and thoracic surgery patients
• Document care accurately and thoroughly in Epic
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, phlebotomy, radiology, and rapid response services
• Float to other Med/Surg and Telemetry units to help meet patient care needs
