Job Details

• Position: Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Telemetry
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
• Shift: 3x12-hour nights
• Shift Duration: 12 hours
• Hours per Week: 36
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,740 - $1,840
• Schedule: Weekend coverage required; self-scheduling in a structured unit setting

• Location: Lubbock, Texas 79410

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required; compact license must be in hand at submission
• At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg, telemetry, or acute care nursing experience required
• BLS certification required
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation preferred
• Comfort working with neuro stepdown, stroke, and telemetry patient populations
• Electronic health record (EHR) charting experience required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Must be willing to float between like units as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care for Med/Surg Telemetry patients with neuro and stroke-related diagnoses
• Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, complete assessments, and support ongoing patient care plans
• Collaborate with rapid response, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, physical therapy, and other support services
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record
• Support a patient ratio of approximately 1:4 on days and nights
• Help promote a safe, compassionate, and team-oriented environment for patients and families
