• Location: Lubbock, TX 79410
• Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00–19:00)
• Shift Duration: 12 hours
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: October 5, 2026
• Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:5
• Weekend Coverage: Required
• Float Requirement: May float between acute care / Med-Surg areas
• Charting System: Epic EMR
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,680 - $1,770

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) nursing experience required
• Experience with a 1:5 patient ratio preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Epic charting experience required
• Comfortable caring for adult and geriatric patients
• Ability to work in a fast-paced acute care and hospital setting
• Strong communication, teamwork, and adaptability skills
• First-time travel nurses welcome

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality bedside nursing care to Med/Surg patients with a focus on safety, compassion, and patient-centered care
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions accurately in Epic EMR
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to established care plans
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to support patient recovery
• Respond to changing patient needs in a busy acute care environment
• Support post-op, surgical, trauma, and overflow Med/Surg patient populations
• Float as needed within acute care / Med-Surg areas based on unit needs
• Maintain a professional, adaptable approach throughout the travel nursing assignment
