• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,730 - $1,820
• Setting: LTAC Med/Surg Telemetry
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
• Average Daily Census: Approximately 32 patients
• Orientation: 12 hours
• Weekend Coverage: As needed
• Floating: May be required within scope to support critical staffing needs

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license or ability to obtain before start
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Tele or acute care nursing experience required; 2 years preferred
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required
• Strong telemetry skills, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience caring for patients with mechanical ventilation and related respiratory needs
• Ability to work night shifts in a high-acuity medical-surgical telemetry environment
• Comfortable completing onboarding competency testing during orientation
• Recent electronic health record (EHR) charting experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor telemetry, assess changes in patient condition, and respond appropriately to clinical needs
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards and care plans
• Support patients with complex diagnoses, including respiratory failure, sepsis, renal failure, pneumonia, and heart failure
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, and the interdisciplinary care team to promote safe patient outcomes
• Care for patients requiring mechanical ventilation, dialysis support, and advanced respiratory therapies as assigned
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record and communicate clearly with the care team
• Adapt to changing staffing needs and float within scope when required
