• Location: Key West, FL 33040 - a scenic island community in the Florida Keys with a relaxed coastal atmosphere

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Recent experience in Labor & Delivery, postpartum, nursery, and/or Mother/Baby care
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• NRP certification
• PALS certification, or willingness to obtain within 30 days of start if needed
• AWHONN preferred; can be completed onsite
• Florida AHCA compliance required for placement
• Flexibility to float to other units as facility needs require

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care during antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases
• Use the nursing process to deliver safe, patient-centered obstetrical care
• Demonstrate strong critical thinking, sound clinical judgment, and leadership in anticipating patient needs
• Monitor patients closely and coordinate care throughout the labor and delivery experience
• Support newborn care and assist in postpartum and nursery settings as needed
• Delegate and supervise patient care tasks in alignment with staff experience and competency
• Maintain clinical competency through ongoing education and adherence to policy and procedure
• Remain adaptable and ready to float based on unit and staffing needs
