Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 - $2,250
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 10/12/2026
• Shift: Night shift, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week; may also accept 4x12s
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend/Holiday Rotation: Every other weekend and holiday rotation
• Unit: Med/Surg Telemetry
• Patient Population: Adult transplant and post-transplant patients
• Charting System: Epic
• Location: Madison, WI 53792

Job Requirements

• 2 years of acute care RN experience within the last 3 years in a Med/Surg, Telemetry, or similar specialty
• Active Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Epic experience required
• Strong telemetry nursing knowledge and ability to pass a telemetry exam prior to start
• Ability to work night shifts, weekend rotation, and holiday coverage as scheduled
• Willingness to float as needed within the facility
• Experience with med/surg, telemetry, and post-surgical care preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult transplant and post-transplant patients in a hospital setting
• Monitor telemetry rhythms and promptly recognize changes in patient condition
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care
• Administer medications and manage IVs, lines, drains, and wound care as needed
• Support patient and family education throughout the recovery process
• Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary care team to promote positive outcomes
• Respond appropriately to clinical changes and assist with rapid response needs
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and uphold a safe, compassionate care environment
