Travel Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room / Perioperative Nursing Job in Madison, Wisconsin

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,620 - $2,760

• Setting: Outpatient Surgery / Operating Room
• Location: Madison, Wisconsin
• Schedule: Day shift, Monday through Friday
• Shift Duration: 10-hour shifts (6:40 AM - 5:10 PM)
• Shifts Per Week: 4
• Hours Per Week: 40
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Orientation: 40 hours
• Scheduling Style: Block scheduling with one rotating day off each week
• Weekend/Holiday Expectations: No weekends and no holidays
• Floating: Floating required as needed
• Charting System: Epic

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin or a compact RN license
• BLS certification from AHA required
• Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience in the specialty
• OR circulation experience required
• Inpatient or ambulatory operating room experience required
• Travel nursing experience required
• Experience with Epic charting required
• Must successfully complete pre-start telemetry testing with strict passing criteria
• Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment supporting adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients

Responsibilities

• Circulate and scrub for multispecialty outpatient surgical procedures
• Manage the operating room and coordinate patient care throughout the perioperative experience
• Support safe, efficient case flow while maintaining a strong focus on quality and patient safety
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Prepare and maintain the OR, equipment, and supplies for a wide range of procedures
• Follow universal protocol, infection control, fire safety, and radiation safety standards
• Document accurately in Epic and maintain clear communication throughout the shift
• Adapt to float needs and contribute as a flexible, dependable member of the surgical services team
