Travel Nursing Job Details

• Position: Psychiatric Registered Nurse (Psych RN)
• Setting: Acute inpatient behavioral health
• Location: Moosic, PA 18507
• Region: Northeast Pennsylvania / Scranton-Wilkes-Barre area
• Schedule: 8-hour night shifts, 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., with weekends and holidays as assigned
• Shift Duration: 8 Hour Nights
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 09/28/2026
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,820 - $1,920
• Employment Type: Travel
• Hours: 40 hours per week

Psychiatric RN Job Requirements

• Active Pennsylvania RN license at the time of submission
• At least 1 year of recent behavioral health nursing or psychiatric nursing experience
• Experience working in a psych setting that uses restraints
• Comfortable caring for adult and geriatric populations
• Strong de-escalation, crisis intervention, and patient safety skills
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as assigned
• Familiarity with Epic documentation preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to behavioral health patients in an acute inpatient psychiatric setting
• Monitor patient status, respond to changes in condition, and support safe therapeutic care
• Assist with de-escalation and behavior management using a calm, patient-centered approach
• Support restraint-related documentation and follow established safety protocols
• Administer medications and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in Epic and paper charting as needed for restraints
• Promote a safe, respectful, and healing environment for patients and staff
