Job Details

  • Location: Fort Worth, TX 76104
  • Assignment Length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: 12-hour nights
  • Hours Per Week: 36
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,460 - $1,540
  • Unit Type: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Cardiovascular Progressive Care / Step-Down
  • Floating: May float to sister step-down and medical-surgical units as needed

Job Requirements

  • Active Texas RN license required; temporary license will not be accepted
  • Minimum of 2 years of hospital nursing experience
  • Cardiovascular and progressive care experience required
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
  • Meditech experience preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment and the ability to thrive in a high-acuity acute care setting

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality patient care in a Progressive Care Unit / PCU nursing environment
  • Monitor and manage patients recovering from cardiac cath procedures and post-op CABG surgery
  • Assess patient conditions, identify changes early, and communicate promptly with the healthcare team
  • Document nursing care accurately in the facility’s clinical systems
  • Support safe, efficient patient care while demonstrating professionalism, teamwork, and accountability
  • Float to related step-down and medical-surgical units when needed based on patient care demands
