• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed hours
• Weekends: Rotating weekends
• Floating: Required as needed
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,460 - $1,540

Job Requirements

• Active Texas RN license required; temporary licenses are not accepted
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience required
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIH Stroke certification required
• Meditech experience preferred
• Strong clinical judgment and comfort working in a fast-paced emergency care environment
• Ability to float as needed based on unit needs
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in a busy Emergency Department
• Assess, triage, and stabilize patients with urgent and emergent conditions
• Care for a wide variety of cases, including stroke, STEMI, pediatric, trauma, and urgent care needs
• Support rapid intervention, ongoing monitoring, and safe patient throughput
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the care team to deliver efficient, high-quality emergency nursing care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
• Adapt to unit needs, including floating when assigned
• Promote a compassionate, professional, and patient-centered experience at all times
