Job Details
- Position: Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN)
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
- Location: Sarasota, FL 34239
- Shift: 12-hour nights
- Hours per Week: 36 hours
- Weekly Schedule: Typically 3 shifts per week
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020-$2,130
- Unit Focus: Labor & Delivery
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- At least 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery, OB nursing, or similar acute care nursing experience
- Experience caring for high-risk OB patients
- Comfort administering medication infusions such as Pitocin and Magnesium Sulfate
- Current BLS and NRP certifications
- Strong teamwork, dependability, and a patient-first mindset
- Ability to work night shifts in a fast-paced clinical environment
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate care to laboring and postpartum patients
- Support high-risk obstetric patients and respond to changing clinical needs
- Initiate IVs and assist with medication infusions as needed
- Collaborate with anesthesia, lab, and support staff to coordinate patient care
- Complete phlebotomy and assist with related clinical procedures when appropriate
- Transport patients and help maintain smooth unit flow
- Work closely with a supportive, team-oriented unit focused on excellent outcomes
