Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- At least 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery, OB/GYN, or high-risk obstetric nursing experience
- Experience caring for high-risk OB patients and managing medication infusions
- Ability to manage Pitocin and Magnesium Sulfate infusions safely and per protocol
- Current BLS and NRP certifications
- Strong communication skills and a dependable, team-oriented work ethic
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, patient-centered women’s health environment
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients
- Monitor maternal and fetal status and respond appropriately to changes in condition
- Administer and monitor medication infusions, including Pitocin and Magnesium Sulfate, according to unit protocols
- Support high-risk obstetric care in collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Start IVs and assist with routine Labor & Delivery unit procedures as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with the care team
- Contribute to a supportive, collaborative nursing environment focused on excellent patient outcomes
