Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse - Lewisburg, Tennessee

• Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Shifts Per Week: 3
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,800 - $1,890
• Charting System: Cerner
• Orientation: 16 hours
• Weekend Rotation: Every 3rd to 4th weekend

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in Tennessee or a compact RN license in hand
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong Cerner charting experience required
• Prior telemetry or remote monitoring experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted
• Ability to manage an average patient ratio of 4:1

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric Medical-Surgical patients
• Monitor patients with varied acuity, including telemetry and remote monitoring needs
• Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, insulin, and oxygen support as ordered
• Perform line care, port access and management, PICC management, and IV starts
• Maintain infection control and isolation precautions
• Support patients with diagnoses such as CHF, COPD, pneumonia, pancreatitis, chest pain, and UTI
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote safe, efficient discharge planning
• Document accurately in Cerner and help ensure a positive patient experience
