- Position: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)
- Employment Type: Travel Nurse Assignment
- Location: Hilo, Hawaii
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,700 - $1,790
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: 11/16/2026
- Shift Duration: 16-hour days
- Hours Per Week: 32 hours, with potential for 40 hours depending on department needs
- Schedule: Variable weekday schedule based on department needs
- Call Requirement: Assigned call coverage with a 30-minute response time
- Orientation: Day-shift orientation provided at the start of assignment
- Setting: Busy operating room environment with multiple suites running daily
Job Requirements
- 2 to 3 years of recent circulating experience in a hospital operating room setting
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Hawaii
- Current BLS certification
- Ability to work independently as an OR nurse while circulating cases across multiple surgical specialties
- Ability to respond to call within 30 minutes
- Scrubbing experience preferred
- Experience using EPIC, Pyxis, and Provation preferred
- Flexibility to support a variable schedule and call rotation
Responsibilities
- Circulate surgical cases in the operating room
- Support turnover cleaning and room preparation between procedures
- Transport patients when needed
- Assist with scheduling cases as assigned
- Independently circulate procedures in specialties including general surgery, orthopedic, vascular, ophthalmic, urology, ENT, endoscopy, robotic, obstetrics, and gynecology
- Contribute to safe, efficient workflow across a busy surgical unit
- Participate in assigned call coverage, including some weekends and holidays as needed
