Job Details

• Employment Type: Travel Nurse Assignment
• Setting: 38-bed ICU within a Level II Trauma Center
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: October 13, 2026
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,820 - $1,910
• Charting System: Epic preferred
• Orientation: 8 hours
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: May float within scope to stepdown or other units based on facility needs

Job Requirements

• Active Virginia RN license or compact RN license
• Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU or SICU nursing experience
• Community hospital experience required
• Experience with Level II Trauma patients required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Strong experience managing dysrhythmias, arterial lines, ventilated patients, and blood product administration
• Experience with CRRT/CVVHD, vasoactive drips, and critical care monitoring preferred
• Ability to adapt to variable acuity and float assignments as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care nursing to complex surgical, trauma, and critically ill patients
• Monitor and respond quickly to changes in patient condition in a fast-paced Surgical Intensive Care Unit
• Manage arterial lines, central lines, ventilators, blood products, and critical drips
• Support recovery for patients with conditions such as sepsis, GI bleed, open heart recovery, trauma, and multisystem organ failure
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and other interdisciplinary healthcare team members
• Perform assessments, interventions, and documentation with accuracy and attention to detail
• Maintain a safe, organized, and patient-focused environment while adapting to unit needs
