Job Details

• Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)
• Type: Travel nursing assignment
• Location: Austin, TX 78704
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Shifts Per Week: 3
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,840 - $1,940
• Schedule: Rotating weekends
• Call: No on-call required
• Start Date: October 5, 2026

Job Requirements

• Active RN license
• At least 1 year of recent Emergency Department, ER nursing, or acute care experience
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification
• Current ENPC certification
• Current TNCC certification
• Current NIHSS certification
• Strong teamwork, adaptability, and multitasking skills
• Preferred: Meditech experience, trauma nursing experience, holding/inpatient experience, and CPI training

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled, compassionate patient care in a busy Emergency Department
• Assess, monitor, and stabilize patients with medical, trauma, and behavioral health needs
• Support trauma assists, airway management, resuscitation, and rapid interventions
• Perform and assist with procedures such as splinting, EKGs, central monitoring, central lines, and rapid infuser use
• Deliver behavioral health support and de-escalation when needed
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure efficient emergency care
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow unit policies, patient safety standards, and best practices
