Med/Surg Registered Nurse (Travel RN) – Rockport, Maine

Travel nursing opportunity for an experienced Med/Surg Registered Nurse in Rockport, Maine. • Position: Med/Surg Registered Nurse (Travel RN)
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
• Location: Rockport, Maine
• Shift: 12-hour nights, 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Weekly Schedule: 36 guaranteed hours per week, typically 3 shifts per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,110 - $2,220
• Patient Ratio: 1:6 on nights; 1:5 on days
• Float Requirement: Yes
• EMR: EPIC
• Unit Type: Medical-Surgical / Med-Surg

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of Med/Surg, Medical-Surgical, or related acute care nursing experience
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• BLS required
• ACLS/ALS required
• PALS preferred for pediatric coverage when applicable
• Strong IV skills and telemetry monitoring experience
• Ability to provide accurate documentation and maintain organized clinical records
• Patient-focused, adaptable, and comfortable working in a collaborative hospital environment
• Professional team player with strong communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical patients with a focus on safety, quality, and patient-centered care
• Care for patients with diagnoses such as CHF, COPD, pneumonia, orthopedic needs, general surgery, and urology-related conditions
• Monitor telemetry, assess patient status, and respond appropriately to changes in condition
• Administer medications, complete required documentation, and maintain accurate clinical records in EPIC
• Use unit equipment such as IV pumps, bladder scanners, EKG machines, and cardiac monitors
• Collaborate with physicians and the care team to support positive patient outcomes
• Float as needed to support unit coverage and team workflow
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance while following unit dress code expectations
