Job Details

• Position: Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Tele
• Type: Travel nursing assignment
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,350-$1,420
• Setting: Neuro medical/surgical telemetry unit
• Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:5

Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent registered nurse experience required
• Active RN license in good standing
• Current BLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification/competency required
• ACLS preferred
• Strong telemetry and med/surg nursing experience preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, self-motivated healthcare environment
• Comfort working with Meditech and common unit equipment including telemetry monitoring systems

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and high-quality care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients
• Monitor and assess patients for neurological and medical-surgical changes
• Perform and support stroke-related assessments and NIH workflows
• Assist with procedures and treatments such as gastric decompression and wound care
• Collaborate with physicians, therapy staff, and fellow nurses to support positive patient outcomes
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record and maintain strong clinical communication
• Support a patient-centered environment that emphasizes teamwork, safety, and responsiveness
