Travel RN opportunity in North Dallas, TX: join a Med/Surg acute care team, deliver patient-centered nursing care, and build your travel nurse experience in a top Dallas healthcare location.
Job Details
- Position: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical-Surgical / Med-Surg
- Location: Dallas, TX 75230
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Hours: 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule period
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,350 - $1,420
- Setting: Medical-surgical / acute care hospital
- EMR: Meditech
- Dress Code: Royal blue scrubs
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing or acute care experience
- Current BLS certification required
- Strong time management, prioritization, and clinical assessment skills
- Experience caring for patients with neurological conditions such as TIA, stroke, and epilepsy preferred
- ACLS certification preferred
- Ability to float to other acute care units as needed
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate, patient-centered care to adult Med/Surg patients
- Monitor patient status, assess changes, and respond with timely nursing interventions
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to support positive outcomes
- Document assessments, treatments, and patient progress accurately in the EMR
- Support patients with neurological and other acute care needs in accordance with unit standards
- Maintain effective communication, flexibility, and teamwork in a fast-paced hospital environment
