Job Requirements

• Active New York Registered Nurse license
• At least 1 year of recent acute care RN experience preferred
• Current ACLS and BLS required; NIH Stroke Scale experience or certification preferred
• Ability to read basic rhythm strips and monitor telemetry patients
• Prior experience in a high-acuity medical-surgical or telemetry setting
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Perform and document frequent neurological assessments, including NIH Stroke Scale
• Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• Support stroke core measures, including dysphagia screening, patient education, and care planning
• Administer medications accurately and safely following BCMA standards
• Collaborate with providers, therapy, and case management to coordinate patient-centered care
• Manage admissions, discharges, and patient flow in a busy hospital unit
• Promote falls prevention, skin integrity, and overall patient safety at all times
