• Contract Duration: 14 weeks
• Schedule: Day shifts; 10-hour shifts
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,180 - $2,300
• Charting System: Cerner / Surginet
• Weekend Coverage: Required
• Call: Required based on unit needs

Job Requirements

• Active Maryland RN license or compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room RN experience required
• Level II trauma experience required
• BLS certification required
• 16-hour Maryland-approved trauma course required
• 8 hours of annual trauma CEUs required
• Proficiency with Cerner/Surginet preferred
• Ability to work in a high-acuity surgical environment with a 1:1 patient ratio
• Experience across multiple surgical specialties strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, age-appropriate perioperative care to patients of all ages
• Support a broad case mix including trauma, ENT, colorectal, plastics, neurosurgery, surgical oncology, oral/dental, laparoscopic, urology, ophthalmology, GYN, general surgery, orthopedics, robotics, vascular, and thoracic procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the broader surgical care team to ensure efficient room flow and excellent patient outcomes
• Maintain a strong focus on OR safety, including emergency response, fire safety, malignant hyperthermia precautions, and latex allergy protocols
• Work confidently with electrosurgical units, fiber-optic equipment, Steris equipment, and da Vinci robotic technology
• Provide clear communication and support to patients and families throughout the surgical experience
• Accurately document care and contribute to a smooth, well-organized surgical workflow
