PACU Registered Nurse - Travel Nurse Opportunity in Easton, Maryland

Travel PACU Registered Nurse needed in Easton, Maryland for a 16-week contract in a fast-paced Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). Support pediatric, adolescent, and adult post-operative recovery while working with a collaborative peri-operative team in a welcoming Eastern Shore community near the Chesapeake Bay region.

• Schedule: 12-hour day shifts within PACU hours of 7:30 AM to 8:30 PM
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,850 - $1,950
• Patient Population: Pediatrics, Adolescents, and Adults
• Work Environment: Fast-paced peri-operative recovery setting with strong interdisciplinary support

Job Requirements

• Active Maryland RN license or Compact RN license at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of recent Registered Nurse experience
• Previous charge nurse experience required
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• CPI certification required for compliance
• Epic experience preferred
• Strong PACU, peri-operative, and post-anesthesia care knowledge
• Ability to work scheduled holidays, every other weekend, and on-call shifts as assigned
• Comfort with floating within scope as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures in the PACU
• Monitor vital signs, airway status, pain levels, and post-operative recovery progress
• Manage PACU-specific interventions including sedation recovery, IV therapy, and medication administration
• Care for pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients across a variety of surgical service lines
• Support Phase I PACU recovery, discharge readiness, and patient education
• Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition, escalating care when needed
• Collaborate closely with anesthesia, surgical, respiratory, pharmacy, and other support teams
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow facility and unit standards
