Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department nursing experience required
• 2 years of emergency nursing experience preferred by facility details
• Valid Kansas RN license or compact RN license in hand at time of submission
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required in hand
• Epic experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Ability to float to similar units within scope as needed
• RTO must be listed at the time of submission

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care in a fast-paced, high-volume ER
• Assess, triage, and monitor patients presenting with acute medical and behavioral health needs
• Support management of conditions such as chest pain, stroke, STEMI, CHF, DKA, seizures, overdoses, and trauma cases
• Perform and assist with critical interventions including intubation, central line care, arterial line management, and chest tube management
• Administer medications, initiate IVs, and support continuous monitoring of unstable patients
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver timely, coordinated acute care
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and uphold safe, efficient ER workflows
• Respond to changing patient needs while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care
