Job Requirements

  • Active DC RN license in hand at time of submission
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent Registered Nurse experience
  • At least 1 completed travel nursing assignment required
  • BLS certification required
  • Strong Cerner experience preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced PACU or recovery room environment
  • Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
  • Must be comfortable with clinical review and travel nurse submission requirements

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, compassionate post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgery
  • Monitor vital signs, pain levels, airway status, and overall recovery progress
  • Assess patients for changes in condition and escalate concerns appropriately
  • Support patient education and discharge readiness after procedures
  • Document assessments, interventions, and care coordination accurately in Cerner
  • Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and the perioperative care team to ensure excellent outcomes
  • Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and patient-centered care in the PACU
