- Position: PACU Registered Nurse (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit RN)
- Location: Washington, DC 20007
- Type: Travel nursing assignment

- Duration: 14 weeks
- Shift: 10-hour day shifts
- Hours Per Week: 40
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,010 - $2,120
- Charting System: Cerner
Job Requirements
- Active DC RN license in hand at time of submission
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Registered Nurse experience
- At least 1 completed travel nursing assignment required
- BLS certification required
- Strong Cerner experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced PACU or recovery room environment
- Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
- Must be comfortable with clinical review and travel nurse submission requirements
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgery
- Monitor vital signs, pain levels, airway status, and overall recovery progress
- Assess patients for changes in condition and escalate concerns appropriately
- Support patient education and discharge readiness after procedures
- Document assessments, interventions, and care coordination accurately in Cerner
- Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and the perioperative care team to ensure excellent outcomes
- Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and patient-centered care in the PACU
